Velcourt was founded by farmers, and we still consider ourselves farmers first. We view our hands-on experience to be just as important as our business acumen.
At Velcourt, we’re proud of our co-investment and co-creation approach and the fact that we treat our clients’ enterprises as if they were our own. We’ve created a pricing model that incentivises maximum returns for our clients and we take every opportunity to pass the benefits of our size and scale back to the farm.
Our staff are our most valuable resource: rigorously selected, trained to the highest industry standards and characterised by their expertise, professionalism and progressive outlook. We place huge emphasis on their continuing development, supported by our internal Research and Development team. Whether in the UK or abroad, we work in partnership with you to deliver your goals.

More expansion and increased influence for Velcourt. Our dairy operation increased significantly: by 2003, we were managing 3000 cows and advising on another 2400. Today, Velcourt directly manages over 90,000 hectares in the UK and overseas. .
1967
Velcourt is founded in the West Country by farmer Robin Malim and three associates. Their vision was to put their expertise to managing farming enterprises for landowners.
Late 1970s
Velcourt began to develop technical alliances abroad: the very beginning of our International services and our unique R&D department, both of which continue to the present day.
1990's
A period of expansion and innovation for Velcourt. We took on an ambitious Management Training Scheme, lots of trials work and our first dairy enterprise. By 1995, we managed over 20,000 hectares.
