Position Trainee Dairy Farm Managers Location South West of England No. Required 1 Period Full-time

The Role

Velcourt provides land owning and farming clients with the very highest level of farm management expertise and technical advice and is currently farming over 57,000 ha in the UK.

We are seeking highly motivated individuals to join our dairy team on the Velcourt Management Training Scheme.

The roles will be farm based, working closely with a Velcourt Farm Manager, and include intensive training in technical, business and farm management coupled with vocational training in all aspects of cow and herd management. Locations are mainly in the South West of England.

The training courses will be of varying types including on farm practical instruction, more formal classroom sessions and residential personal development courses. All the training is designed to be highly participative and will be run by Velcourt directors and senior managers, external instructors and management development tutors, as appropriate.

The successful candidates should have a formal agricultural qualification, some dairy farming background and be passionate about developing the skills and attention to detail necessary to produce milk and manage cows to the highest standard.
