The Role
Mawthorpe Farms Ltd is located in the Lincolnshire Wolds near the town of Alford which is between Louth and Skegness. It comprises of 1,200 ha of arable land plus a contract farming arrangement of another 200 ha. The farm operates within a five mile radius, which is based from the Wellback Grain Store site. The farm operates a wide range of modern machinery, growing feed wheat, malting barley, oilseed rape, beans and vining peas. Central storage is made up of a 7,500t site plus a further 2,500t store in Willoughby village.
The estate also has 200 ha of commercial woodland, a small family shoot and a residential property portfolio. The team is made of three, young full-time members of staff but we require an extra four seasonal members for the harvest period. A positive, friendly and motivated attitude is essential.

The role will include:
- Carting wheat, barley, oilseed rape and beans from a Claas Lexion 8800 combine, using Case Puma 175's, 240's and an Optum 340 with modern 18 tonne Bailey trailers.
- Tipping trailers in modern grain stores directly onto drying floors or into an intake pit for the continuous flow dryer.
- One candidate will be responsible for operating a Case Optum 340, to undertake a range of cultivations alongside relief corn carting.
- Other general farm work will be required at times, including grain store cleaning, machinery maintenance, mowing with front and rear flail mowers, hedge cutting and Cambridge rolling.
Previous experience would be beneficial however training can be provided for the right candidate.
Full UK Driving Licence required.
A telehandler certificate would also be favorable.
Autumn work will be available for the right candidate.
Minimum 18yrs old
Applicants must be able to show evidence of the right to work in the UK.

Accommodation: Harvest accommodation (FOC) is available in the form of individual Bunker Bins and a shared static caravan for a living space. Harvest meals will also be provided FOC Monday to Thursday but will be available Friday-Sunday for a small cost.
