The Role
Situated at the base of the Marlborough Downs, the business comprises 420ha of combinable crops and 100ha of grassland which is used for haylage, hay and grazing horses. The farm also carries out 330ha of contract combining and 110ha of hay making across the local area. All straw and hay baling is carried out in-house.
We are looking for a hardworking and diligent individual with a positive attitude who can work well in a team and on their own. They will need good time-keeping, communication skills and attention to detail.
The role will likely start in early June for the haymaking season and roll into the summer cereal harvest. During the hay making season the role will mainly consist of bale carting and tedding and in the summer potentially operating the farm's continuous flow drier and carting straw.
Candidates would ideally have some tractor experience and telehandler experience/ticket.
Grain store experience would be an advantage. Training can be provided for the right candidate.
Full UK Driving Licence required.
Minimum age 18 years old.
